Children's Software Award TOMMI 2022The best games and digital learning opportunities for children

Every year, the German Children's Software Prize TOMMI is awarded for outstanding games and digital learning opportunities for children. After the preselection by a jury of experts, the final verdict then rests with the target group. Around 4,200 girls and boys tested the nominated games in 56 libraries. Find out from us which games the children were enthusiastic about.

The best games and digital learning opportunities for children

The award ceremony took place in the program Team Timster of the children's channel (KIKA) of ARD and ZDF. The show will be available on Team Timster until mid-November 2022. In the following list we show the first places in the respective categories. All winners (i.e. also the second and third places) as well as the detailed justifications of the juries can be found on the website of the children's software award TOMMI.

Goals of the TOMMI

The TOMMI promotes the media competence of children and young people and teaches the critical use of computer, educational and console games and apps. Public libraries are an indispensable partner of TOMMI, as they have the space, the technology and the trained staff.
