New focus at Hate on the Net: Right-wing extremist (&) gaming cultures

How do right-wing extremists use digital games, gaming platforms and communities to appeal to a young audience? To what extent are racism, misogyny, and hostility to democracy part of online gaming cultures? And how is the gaming scene itself combating it? These and other questions are addressed by the newly established thematic focus "Right-wing extremist [&] gaming cultures" on the website Hate on the Net, a service of jugendschutz.net.

Online gaming increasingly offers areas within which there are diverse expressions of right-wing extremism. Hass im Netz, a service of jugendschutz.net, specifically addresses the complex relationship between right-wing extremism and gaming with its new thematic focus on right-wing extremist (&) gaming cultures and deepens the topic with further contributions.

The thematic focus is continuously expanded and contains audio contributions, recordings and results of the symposium of the same name as well as information on entry points of right-wing extremist ideology into the gaming world.
