Most challenges are harmless. For example, the Ice Bucket Challenge, in which you pour a bucket of ice water over your head. However, there are always dangerous tests of courage. They can lead to injuries or, in the worst case, even death. In the case currently making the news, a child strangled himself and died of the consequences a few days later.
Children and young people must learn to recognize the risks of challenges and assess them correctly. Guardians and educators can support them in this. We provide tips for this on our topic page on challenges.
