What is the web seminar about?
Posting photos and videos on the web has become part of everyday life for many young people and also for adults. Especially in social networks like WhatsApp, Instagram or TikTok , photos and videos are shared online and thus visible to a more or less broad public. Many people are interested in what others think about them and hope for positive feedback on the published content. Despite the many possibilities offered by the Internet, users must keep certain things in mind when sharing photos online. Under the motto "think before you (re)post!" ("Think before you post or share!"), it is important to consider data protection, image rights and privacy, among other things.
The web seminar provides insights into the practice of the Media Scouts NRW and shows how the peer-to-peer work can deal with the topics sexting, digital abuse and one's own presentation on the Internet in the area of tension between privacy and partial publics. Suitable klicksafe materials will also be presented on the topics.
Questions about the topic of the web seminar should be entered in the comments field during registration. We will try to answer as many of these questions as possible during the event and discuss them together.
What is the project Medienscouts NRW?
Medienscouts NRW is a peer-to-peer project in which young people, after qualifying as media scouts, advise students on their use of media and answer the questions they have about smartphone use, social networks, the Internet & Co.
Who is the web seminar aimed at?
Young people from all nationwide peer-to-peer projects and all interested parties such as educators, parents, etc. are cordially invited to register for the web seminar!
How can I register for the web seminar?
Unfortunately, registration is already closed, as we have reached the maximum possible number of participants. Soon after the event, we will make the recording available on our YouTube channel and on our website section "Webseminars."
