New brochure: Growing up well with media - children's rights on the net

In times of daycare and school closures and government-imposed curfews, children and young people are increasingly shifting their leisure activities to the digital realm. This is a good opportunity to discuss media usage behavior within the family. The new brochure "Growing up well with media" can help.

In this comprehensive brochure, parents and teachers receive information from experts on how to protect adolescents in the digital space and teach media literacy. The focus of this issue is on children's rights. Other topics include data protection, copyright, and cyberbullying. The SAFETY KIT contains a paper cell phone about children's rights. It also comes with two stickers: a sticker with an individual password key for creating secure passwords and a webcam sticker for protecting digital cameras.

The brochure "Growing up well with media" has been produced for 20 years by jugendschutz.net on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. It offers basic knowledge and practical help and is available free of charge at www.bmfsfj.de/GAMM-Broschüre.
