Online conference: Growing up safely with media - from youth protection programs to competence promotion

This week, the initiative office "Growing up well with media" invites you to the online conference on "Growing up safely with media - from youth protection programs to competence promotion".

In the online event  expert Mark Bootz ( shows which important functions these programs have and which limitations and weak points must be taken into account. He further explains how educational professionals and parents can use youth protection programs sensibly.

Since these programs do not offer comprehensive protection, media use must be accompanied. This is particularly relevant when it comes to data protection. Here Michaela Brauburger ( gives practical tips on how to sensitize children and young people to a competent handling of their own data.

The event is free of charge and will take place on Friday, July 14, 2017, during the time from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

The online conference format is a live event on the Internet where experts present information on a specific topic and answer your questions.
