Social Media Camp by WERTE LEBEN - ONLINE

At the WERTE LEBEN - ONLINE social media camp, young people join forces to set an example against hate and for more respect online.

The summer vacations are getting creative! In Hanover, people are busy filming, texting, crafting and photographing. Participants in the WERTE LEBEN - ONLINE social media camp will receive information about the characteristics, background and consequences of negative online phenomena such as hate speech, cyberbullying and fake news, and will work together to develop tips for dealing with these problems in their own everyday online lives in a critical and self-confident manner.

The knowledge acquired is prepared in the form of creative social media campaigns (e.g., videos, gifs, memes) and communicated to other young people on Instagram, Twitter & Co. The participants contribute their own ideas, have their own say and sensitize their peers to fair interaction on the Internet.

Accommodation and meals during the camp weekend are free of charge. Travel costs will be reimbursed to the participants.
