State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection Gerd Billen at the klicksafe booth at gamescom
During his tour, he learned about the work of the EU initiative klicksafe. He also spoke with Dr. Tobias Schmid, Director of the Landesanstalt für Medien NRW (LfM) about the importance of media literacy offerings at gamescom. Dr. Tobias Schmid, Director of LfM emphasized during the exchange: "Of course, klicksafe also belongs at gamescom. Klicksafe is the central European initiative for the teaching of media competence, which the LfM carries out together with the LMK. It's also one of the most important challenges of the industry to help with compliance and to assist users in doing so."
The EU initiative klicksafe will have a booth (Hall 10.2 / D-20/E-027) until Saturday, August 26 and will present its information and teaching materials and offers . This year, juuuport, a self-protection platform run by young people for young people, is participating as a booth partner.
