Opportunities and dangers of social media - target group grades 8 and 9.

Social media allows people to connect, share created content and communicate with each other over the Internet. In 2022, the global average is about two and a half hours that each user spends on social media every day.

Social media are free of charge. How do providers finance themselves? How private does the shared content remain? How could attackers obtain sensitive information?

To use the Internet and especially social media sensibly and safely, media literacy is required.

"Opportunities and Dangers of Social Media" teaches where the risks and dangers lie.

We use practical examples to inform and raise awareness of how social networks can be used in a targeted and responsible manner, address the use of passwords and demonstrate the safe use of mobile devices.
