Dear parents and educational staff,

Good media education is becoming increasingly difficult with older children: YouTube, Snapchat and other social media are becoming more and more important. Many children & can no longer imagine life without a smartphone.
For parents and educational staff, it is not always easy to keep track. At this information evening, we want to convey why the Internet with its many possibilities is so interesting for children & teenagers. We will explain the challenges for children & and young people. You as parents and pedagogical staff can learn new things about digital media yourself and exchange experiences with other parents and colleagues*.
The information evening is free of charge for you and a project of the Open Channel Schleswig-Holstein in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Family, Youth and Senior Citizens. You will receive information and tips from the media educator Mr. Steffen on how you can accompany and support children & young people in dealing with media.
