A smart home is a house in which various electronic devices and systems are networked with each other to make living more comfortable, safer, more energy-efficient and more user-friendly. These include voice assistants as well as digital thermostats, security systems and refrigerators. These networked devices and systems can be controlled and monitored via the internet or local networks. A smart home offers many advantages, but also harbors dangers and risks. For example, smart devices often collect large amounts of personal data or are susceptible to hacker attacks. If smart home systems are not properly secured and configured, strangers can gain access to door locks or surveillance cameras, for example.
The presentation provides an overview of possible risks in the smart home and provides information on protective measures to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable in your smart home in the future.
