Screens are with us all day - in the morning, looking at your smartphone has become as much a part of our lives as a cup of coffee. During the day, we work on our PCs at school, university and at work, only to end the day with haphazard scrolling on our smartphones. In the daily grind, it seems impossible to reduce screen time. In the workshop on digital detox, the city library wants to show how time spent in front of a screen can be reduced without having to forego the benefits that digital media can offer. The personal use of digital media will be worked through together. We will then explain what a digital detox actually is, what it means and how it can be implemented. With mindfulness exercises and lots of tips and tricks, this workshop will lay the foundations for conscious media use.

The event will take place on Thursday, February 8 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. in the Central Library's Lerncafè and is aimed at interested people of all ages. Participation is recommended for ages 12 and up. Registration is required.
