Three days before Safer Internet Day (February 6), various initiatives will be on site in the central library of the Bücherhallen on the Saturday before to provide information about online safety.

The #DigitaleVorbilder project will be there with a stand and input. Visitors will have the opportunity to talk to experts from the Hamburg Data Protection Authority and find out more about the project.

We will provide information on what to consider when uploading (children's) images online. Is it advisable or rather not, because unexpected dangers lurk? And what about metadata, which may be sent unintentionally and therefore reveal more information about us than we would like. Here, too, there are some worthwhile tips.

For anyone who has always wondered what the situation is with the publication of photos by, for example, the nursery or sports club: There is helpful information on this too!

At 1 p.m., visitors are cordially invited to attend a lecture on the topic of children's pictures on the Internet. This will also take place in the Bücherhallen.
