25 years FSM and presentation of the Youth Media Protection Index 2022

The Voluntary Self-Regulation of Multimedia Service Providers (FSM) celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2022. To mark this occasion, a new edition of the "Youth Media Protection Index" study will also be published.

After the first representative survey of parents and children (Youth Media Protection Index 2017) and a survey of pedagogical teachers and specialists (Youth Media Protection Index 2018) , another representative parent/child survey will take place in 2022. Risks of online use by children and young people and ways of dealing with them will be determined. This is intended to create an up-to-date, knowledge-based foundation for the further development of youth media protection. We ask, among other things: How do children and parents view youth media protection? What risks and challenges do they face when using online media? And how do they deal with them?
