The Data Protection
Media Award (DAME), initiated by the Professional Association of Data Protection Officers in Germany (BvD) e.V., now in its fifth year, honors media professionals and creative people who explain the
topic of data protection in a concise and understandable way. The award comes with 3,000 euros in prize money.
The ceremonial award of the DAME price 2021 takes place in the context of the BvD association days on 10 May 2022 at 19:00 o'clock in the Dorint hotel Kurfürstendamm in Berlin. Birgit Kimmel and Stefanie Rack from the klicksafe team are members of the jury.

The Data Privacy Media Award (DAME) has been sponsored by the DATEV-Stiftung Zukunft since November 2018. In addition, the German Donations Council and the Data Protection Foundation endow a special prize. The EU initiative klicksafe is the media partner.
