With "Insights", jugendschutz.net's Political Extremism section provides insights into current trends, developments and findings around hate, incitement and extremist propaganda on the Internet. This is especially true when it comes to dangers for children and young people growing up well in the online world. The individual dates are online video events and consist of 20- to 30-minute presentations, followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion.

Conspiracy Influencing: Anti-democratic Multipliers on TikTok, Instagram and Co.

Whether travel videos, makeup tips or Let's Plays: social media influencers reach millions of users with self-produced content. Due to their special relationship with their audience, they can have a problematic influence on children and young people. This is even more the case when they spread anti-democratic statements and conspiracy myths. We provide insight into the milieu of conspiracy influencers*, their communication strategies and the conspiracy narratives as they are presented daily on the web.
