More than a third (37.5%) of schoolchildren in Germany have already experienced bullying attacks. Children and young people are increasingly becoming victims of cyber bullying. According to recent studies, cyber bullying affects around 17.3 percent of schoolchildren in Germany. Birgit Kimmel, head of the EU initiative klicksafe, will provide insight into the dynamics of (cyber)bullying in this online event, discuss the first steps to take in an emergency and give advice on how conflict management can succeed in schools in the long term.

The event takes place as part of the Week of Media Competence, which is implemented by Medienanstalt Rheinland-Pfalz .

The event starts at 15:00 and ends at 16:00.
