Kaspersky Special Award: Ferrari on Ice Event in Livigno, 24.-26.02.2016

To get to Italy by train we had to pass Switzerland, where we enjoyed the mountains, the snow and the beautiful landscapes. Even more impressive was the big frozen lake located between two big mountains close to the small town Livigno.

The mountain pass, which led us to our luxurious Hotel in Bormio, was 2300 m high and presented us a wonderful view. Our 3 day-journey to the Ferrari on ice event was the special price, awarded by Kaspersky.Lab which the developer of the cyber-bulling-first-aid-app of the klicksafe Youth Panel won in the Enable Hackathon Competition. On the first evening we were brought to the first event with a gondola. The cozy mountain chalet, Chalet Camanel, was the place where the opening of the Ferrari-Show took place. As a second highlight we were driven back the way down the hill with a snowcat.

On the second day we enjoyed a dogsledding tour. We hadn’t known what to expect, so we were really surprised and excited to find, that each of us would drive his own dog sled. It was an incredible experience we will never forget.
After a short break at the hotel, we visited the main event: Scuderia Ferrari On Ice. On top of a frozen lake a race-track was prepared, on which the Formula One pilot Giancarlo Fisicella navigated a formula One Ferrari racing car. Together with refreshing and interesting posts of the commentator the show was really spectacular. To top it all we had the opportunity to drive with a Kaspersky Maserati to feel the skiddering on the ice.

On the next day we took our way back by train. In the beginning, the journey seemed to be quiet, but then two serious accidents were happening just on our route. So our train was six hours delayed when we arrived home. What a good thing that we had all those wonderful experiences on our minds.

Thank you very much Kaspersky. Lab, Ferrari, and European Schoolnet for these exciting days.
