Everything is new in May: Fresh ideas and a modern look for the cell phone sector

Relaunch of the youth portal with assistance for everyday digital life

Since a few days the project Handysektor presents itself in a new design. Large images, multimedia content as well as the integration of social media posts and a website especially optimized for mobile use characterize the new web presence of the project. In addition to the design, which is now much more modern and mature, the project is also changing in many other areas and is thus geared to the usage habits of young people.

The new contact point for young people about their digital everyday life
With the relaunch, Handysektor is aimed exclusively at young people in its design as well as in its editorial preparation and selection of topics and is further expanding its offering for this target group. In addition to dealing with problems relating to digital media, everyday and lifestyle topics are also addressed. In this way, more space is also given to reflection on one's own media usage behavior. There are also small tips and tricks for everyday digital life.

Reaching young people on social media
The social media channels - especially Instagram and YouTube - will become an even more important part of the project and will provide information on current digital topics on an equal footing with the website. Personalized content by the editor "Handysektor-Kim" on Instagram and YouTube picks up young people where they like to be. Here they receive snack content tailored to their needs and viewing habits: a topic is briefly addressed in the style of popular influencers, and for more in-depth information they can visit the website or contact the editorial team via news and comments.

Educators' Corner in future at klicksafe
Good news for teachers: The content from Educators' Corner can now be found at klicksafe at Smartphones & Apps im Unterricht , so that the teaching materials will continue to be available to educators. All multimedia content such as (explanatory) videos, infographics, app flyers and comics will continue to be available in the Handysektor media library.
