German Prevention Day

The main topic of the 28th German Prevention Day is "Crises & Prevention". In brief, the Prevention Day thus includes debates on perceptions, effects, ways of dealing with and preventive approaches to solving current crises (e.g. climate crisis or worldwide refugee movements).

At the Congress Center Rosengarten in the heart of Mannheim, prevention actors present their offers at information booths. Numerous lectures, workshops, stage programs and accompanying events offer the opportunity to deal intensively with the topic, to meet educational professionals and to network.

Dominique Facciorusso from klicksafe will give a presentation on the topic "Influence of algorithms in the everyday life of young users" onJune 12 from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm. The lecture will highlight the challenges posed by the implementation of algorithms and the tasks that can be derived from this for the promotion of media literacy.

In addition, klicksafe will be represented with an information booth. There, we will present the work of klicksafe and offer a wide range of information and materials (flyers, teaching materials, brochures, parent guides and digital offerings) for prevention work with children and young people. The offers cover various topics such as cyberbullying, social media, fake news and disinformation, democratic competence, cybergrooming, digital well-being and data protection.
