Now new at klicksafeTeaching material and subject area on democracy education

The Internet is a place where children and young people can come into contact with hostility toward democracy. At the same time, however, it is also a place where democracy and participation are actively practiced. For example, by participating in online discussions and voting. So on the one hand, children and young people need to be aware of the dangers to democracy on the Internet. But on the other hand, they also need to be excited about the many opportunities for democratic participation. In our new topic area, we present all klicksafe materials for this purpose. Among others also the new teaching material "Democracy Gym".

"Democracy is like a muscle that needs to be exercised." This is the guiding principle behind the new "Democracy Gym" teaching material. It bundles eleven media-based methods for educational practice in schools and extracurricular youth education. "Democracy Gym" consists of two modular training plans with complementary warm-up and cool-down exercises. They support professionals in getting young people excited about our democracy with creativity and wit within the realities of their lives. Democracy Gym" was developed jointly by medien+bildung.com and klicksafe. The ceremonial release takes place today at Hambacher Schloss in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Hambach Castle is considered the "cradle of German democracy." For more information on this event, please see the press release from the Media Authority of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The teaching material is now available for download in our ordering system. If you would like to order "Democracy Gym" as a print version, you can do so free of charge in the online store of medien+bildung.com.
