Pedagogical media award: Child-friendly media tips for the lockdown

Since yesterday, Germany has been in a "lockdown light," which means that children and young people are also spending more time at home again. Unlike in spring, nature is not inviting children to go on long bike rides or walks at the moment, so the media will probably play an even more important role as a leisure activity. This makes it all the more important for parents to provide their children with age-appropriate activities. The 2020 Pedagogical Media Award today honored outstanding digital offerings for children and young people.

In total, the "Pädagogische Medienpreis 2020" was awarded to 15 recommendable products for children and young people. The sophisticated products convinced the children, young people and experts on the media award jury in equal measure. The media prize has been awarded since 1998 by the specialist media education institution "SIN - Studio im Netz" in Munich.

The award ceremony of the Pedagogical Media Award 2020 took place today in the form of a video conference, during which representatives of the award-winning companies accepted their awards. Since 1998, the SIN - Studio im Netz has awarded this media education prize annually to digital offerings that are considered outstanding from an educational point of view. The jury is made up of children, young people and educational specialists.
