Hazard atlas: Updated and expanded edition published

The Federal Center for Child and Youth Media Protection (BzKJ) has published the 2nd edition of the "Danger Atlas". This offers an up-to-date overview of the media use reality of children and young people and possible online dangers.

The Hazard Atlas provides an up-to-date and scientifically based overview of the media use reality of children and young people. It takes an in-depth look at the reality of their lives in the context of media use under the conditions of the Covid 19 pandemic.

It explains 43 media phenomena, the potential dangers associated with them and, in part, developmental opportunities for children and young people. In addition, it contains a children's rights and media education classification for dealing with the media phenomena described.

The Hazard Atlas is published by the BzKJ and was developed in cooperation with the JFF - Institute for Media Education and the Leibniz Institute for Media Research.
