Everyone knows the meaning of the traffic light colors in road traffic: red means STOP, orange means WAIT and green means CONTINUE.
The traffic light metaphor is intended to help young people get to know and set their own boundaries during sex. Only when their head, stomach and body say yes to sexual activity does their traffic light turn green and they can go one step further.
The poster is part of the comprehensive teaching material "Let's talk about porn - sexuality, identity and pornography". It will be published for Safer Internet Day 2024 in a completely revised version and is already available for download as a PDF with selected projects.
In "Let's talk about porn", the sex traffic light is presented as a method for a teaching unit or as a suggestion for youth work. It was developed by sexologist Magdalena Heinzel and is suitable for working with young people aged 14 and over.
